Mihaela Constantinescu (CCEA) Shared Key Insights on GenAI Avatars, Knowledge, and Responsibility at EPISTEAM Seminar

Mihaela Constantinescu, Executive Director of the Research Centre in Applied Ethics (CCEA), shared key insights in her invited talk, “Personal Gen.AI avatars, Knowledge & Responsibility,” at the international online seminar EPISTEMIC KRISIS, organized as part of the EPISTEAM project, on 28th of January 2025.

The seminar focused on the critical implications of new technologies for epistemology and ethics. Mihaela Constantinescu’s presentation provided crucial analysis on the relationship between personal Generative AI (Gen.AI) avatars—which replicate human persons—and fundamental concepts of knowledge and moral responsibility. This discussion is vital given the increasing use of these avatars in high-stakes environments.
