The Radio România Cultural show “Izvoare de filosofie” explored the fascinating topic of digital duplicates and the new philosophical challenges posed by artificial intelligence. The guest for the 21st of March 2025 edition was Radu Uszkai, lecturer at ASE Bucharest (The Bucharest University of Economic Studies), researcher at the Research Centre in Applied Ethics (CCEA), and member of the ERC project “avataResponsibility.” This large-scale project, funded by the European Research Council, aims to develop a normative framework for attributing moral responsibility that considers the interaction between humans, organizations, and artificial intelligence systems in emerging avatar communities.
Moderated by Cornel-Florin Moraru, the debate addressed crucial questions about the authenticity of virtual identities and their influence on our perception of self and reality, in a world where the line between the physical and digital is increasingly blurred. Radu Uszkai offered critical perspectives on these transformations.
