avataResponsibility Researchers Contributed to LEGACY Workshop on AI Personhood, Agency, and Responsibility in Law and Philosophy

Radu Uszkai, Mihaela Constantinescu, and Oana Alexandra Ceocea, researchers from the Research Centre in Applied Ethics (CCEA), successfully contributed to the two-day LEGACY: Agency in Law workshop hosted in Helsinki on 25-26th September 2025.

The workshop, titled “AI Personhood, Agency, and Responsibility in Law and Philosophy,” gathered an international and interdisciplinary group of scholars to address key challenges concerning the definition and attribution of agency and moral responsibility to AI systems within contemporary legal and philosophical frameworks.

The active participation of CCEA members reaffirms the Center’s commitment to contributing ethical expertise and analysis to critical European discussions regarding AI governance and the future of legal philosophy.
