Emilian Mihailov Contributes to European Debate on Public Trust in Science at AE/YAE Conference

Emilian Mihailov, Director of the Research Centre in Applied Ethics (CCEA) and a member of the Young Academy of Europe (YAE), participated in the major international conference marking the 36th Annual Conference of Academia Europaea (AE) and the 14th Conference of the YAE.

The event, titled “Resilient Futures: Bridging Sciences, Technology, Humanities and Society,” took place from October 15–17, 2025, at the Parc de Recerca Biomèdica Barcelona (PRBB), Spain.

Emilian Mihailov contributed to the panel discussion: “Public trust in science and navigating political tensions.”

The panel, moderated by Scott Bremer (President of the YAE), addressed one of the most critical issues currently facing the academic world: the erosion of trust in scientific institutions and the necessary academic response to disinformation and political polarization.
