On April 29, 2026, CCEA researcher Constantin Vică delivered an invited lecture titled “Tehno-idolatrie și agenți sintetici: De la griefbots la avatarobots” at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology “Justinian Patriarhul,” University of Bucharest. The scientific seminar explored the philosophical and theological intersections of emerging technologies, focusing on how synthetic agents—such as digital duplicates, griefbots, and avatarobots—reshape human relationships with mortality, identity, and the sacred. Vică addressed the rise of techno-idolatry in contemporary digital culture, analyzing the ethical and metaphysical implications of recreating human presence through algorithmic systems.
